Built in 1917, the Historic Dillard House Farm and Resort, originally known as the Historic Dillard House Inn and Restaurant, is a landmark property in the Little Tennessee Valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains in north Georgia, just two hours from Atlanta. Fondly referred to as “The Dillard House,” it has gained national recognition for its traditional home-style meals and authentic Southern hospitality.

What began as a modest six-room mountain home evolved over the years into a modern hotel and resort capable of hosting hundreds of guests. However, the 110-acre property has become outdated and underutilized, and in 2024, Legacy Ventures of Atlanta, GA, acquired the property, seizing a rare opportunity for redevelopment.

DaVinci Development was engaged as development manager to lead the comprehensive transformation of the project. This includes overseeing the master planning, renovating the iconic restaurant, guest rooms, and conference center, and managing the design and construction of several new features. These additions include a 60-key hotel, cottage and treehouse residences, a brewery with a beer garden, and various amenities such as an equestrian center, spa, event pavilion, great lawn, farm garden, and walking trails. With a focus on reimagining the resort’s signature Southern hospitality and charm, DaVinci Development is leading the effort to restore the Dillard House to its former glory as a highly sought-after destination while honoring its rich history.
