In 2016, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Children’s), a nationally top-ranked pediatric healthcare system, engaged DaVinci Winstead*, a joint venture between DaVinci Development and The Winstead Group, to refine its North Druid Hills Campus Master Plan, located in Brookhaven, Georgia, to provide development management services overseeing design and construction. Before the project’s inception, the support staff of Children’s was dispersed across multiple buildings throughout the area. The new project presented an opportunity to create a unified environment that would enhance collaboration, integrate advanced technology, and drive innovation by consolidating the system’s non-clinical team into a single location, thereby better supporting the hospital’s mission. The completion of the Support Center was on the critical path to begin construction of the Hospital. DaVinci Winstead worked with the Children’s leadership team, the City of Brookhaven, and its neighboring residents to deliver the project on time with minimal disturbance to the surrounding community and the patients and staff of Children’s.

The new administrative buildings of the Support Center consist of 593,000 square feet of open floor plans with various shared amenities including a first-class dining center, two coffee shops, a fitness center, and an in-house health clinic. The Support Center also includes a multitude of conference and meeting rooms, including outdoor spaces and a supporting parking deck of approximately 2,200 spaces.
