Children's Healthcare of Atlanta North Druid Hills Campus
Brookhaven, GA
In 2015, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta ("Children's"), a nationally top-ranked pediatric healthcare system, engaged DaVinci Winstead*, a joint venture between DaVinci Development and The Winstead Group, to refine its North Druid Hills Campus Master Plan. Located in Brookhaven, Georgia, and one of the largest healthcare projects in Georgia's history, the Children's Campus is a 70-acre site which will include a pediatric hospital, attached clinic space, a central utility plant, two parking decks for staff and patients, more than 20 acres of green space, and miles of walking trails and paths for patients and families. DaVinci Winstead's efforts have included critical examination and refinement of project scope to ensure that each of the major components were validated, establishing control budgets as appropriate for each component, and continually verifying and testing underlying assumptions. While maintaining tight fiscal and schedule controls and limiting impact on continuous Children's operations, the DaVinci Winstead team has since delivered the first phase, the Center for Advanced Pediatrics and second phase, the Administrative Support Center. Currently, DaVinci Winstead continues the development management scope, overseeing the work on the state-of-the-art 1.5 million square foot Arthur M. Blank Hospital, slated to open in 2025.
