Millsaps College

The DaVinci Development team served as development advisors for Millsaps College (Millsaps), a private, liberal arts college located in Jackson, MS. Millsaps College is seeking to transform and make strategic use of 14-acres on their beautiful historic campus. The goal of Millsaps is to develop a potential program that will attract and engage their students and connect with the community while extracting value from the property. DaVinci Development was honored to lead this pre-development work with their advisory services. We were engaged in leading Millsaps through a five-step advisory process that will assist with determining the best use for their unique site.

Key components of the assignment included extensive stakeholder interviews and engagement, a project visioning session, the creation of alternative scenarios, and massing studies (in partnership with a local architect firm) in addition to helping Millsaps understand the potential value of the site if developed. The team also assisted Millsaps with strategies to market the site to potential developers, and Millsaps anticipates attracting a developer in 2020.
