Project TeamJohn Goff - Master Developer
The project team, led by John Goff, partnered with Emory University to take a 53 acre site which included outdated graduate housing, a dated motel and beautiful woodlands.
The final development created a mixed-use master plan to serve the growing needs of the Emory community, the Centers for Disease and Control and Emory Hospital. Ultimately the plan included leaving 30.8 acres restricted from development and focusing on the remaining 22 acres. The development program resulted in close to 700 residential units, 120,000 sf of retail along with a 126 unit expansion to the Emory Conference Center and Hotel. Zoning entitlements were a long and protracted process with numerous neighborhood associations and, University stake-holders along with CDC federal oversight.
